These Days, we tend to send WhatsApp messages, send e-mails or (yes, we still do that), make telephone calls.

In the days of the early Egyptologists, people sent letters, LOTS of them, to correspond with family, co-workers and friends.

A lot of these letters have been saved in Museums and Universities.

The ones we try to uncover and publish here, are, for the greater part, in private collections. Forgotten in an attic or basement.

So much to learn from them!
